  • Expiring passport of minor child

I'm working in US on a L1 visa with my family on L2 visa. I've my visa revalidation interview at New Delhi on 12 May during our vacation in India. We will return back to US and expect to stay for a further 2 years period.

I happen to see the following requirement at immihelp regarding passport validity.

    Validity
For nonimmigrant visa applicants, passport must be valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond the applicant's intended period of stay in the United States.

My daughter's passport is expiring at end of Jan 2007. I had originally planned to get the renewal done at Indian consulate in US after returning back to US.

Can someone who have encountered similar situation advise if it will be a problem to get the visa revalidation for my daughter (she is currently 4 years old).

My family has already left to India for the vacation.
