Hi I am a masters student , I am graduating in June 2006. I want my parents to attend my graduation ceremony. THERE IS A CLAUSE IN THE EMBASSY regarding emergency SLOT
Emergency Appointments
A limited number of applicants may qualify for expedited visa appointments if they satisfy one or more of the criteria listed below:
To obtain emergency medical care, or to accompany a relative or employer for emergency medical care.
To attend the funeral of an immediate family member (mother, father, brother, sister, child, grandparent or grandchild).
To attend to an urgent business matter where the travel requirement could not be predicted in advance.
Students or exchange visitors who are within 90 days of their start date of a valid program and who have not been refused a visa within the last six months.
H and L visa renewals for applicants who are already working in the U.S and are returning to their jobs.
To attend marriages and graduation ceremonies (for grand parents/parents and siblings to attend only)
I had booked for an EMEGENCY Visa interview at new delhi consulate.the problem is that my parents are from Hyderabad and according to region wise consideration they have to go to the Chennai consulate, there are no dates at chennai consulate till october 2006.Will there be any reason that the consulate at delhi reject my parents appointment because they are from Hyderabad. I would really appreciate if someone could reply.
