Mumbai - submit docs 5 days prior

Your website mentiones that photocopies of all supporting documents should be submitted to the VFS at least 5 working days before the appointment date. Is this still a requirement?

How would it affect if the photocopies are submitted less than 5 days prior to the appointment date?

Would appreciate a promt reply!

it is the requirement of VFS/US consulate but not the requirement of this site

My parents had applied and recd an appointment date in person at the Mumbai VFS counter.

I think...for Mumbai consulate you have to send the docs in advance (whether the appointment was taken online or in person)

User sejal77 has said in the forum that no docs were submitted prior to the interview in mumbai.

The best thing, I think, would be follow the instructions received when applying. The VFS counter did not ask my parents to submit any documents prior to the interview. I got confused by the content of the website and hence posted this query.

I will update the forum once confirmed.
