B2 Visa Renewal Experience

My mom currently holds a multiple entry B2 visa. Since it was set to expire, we explored the IWP option for renewal. We submitted the documents at OFC Kolkata on Jul 2nd and got a call from consulate on Jul 14th to come to the consulate before 9:30 AM next week any given day. When asked if any documents need to be carried was mentioned to carry only copy of DS 160 confirmation page and govt issued ID proof. Wanted to check with others if anyone had similar experience. I havent received any email notification from US consulate, just a phone call. Also they dint specify the purpose of the visit. Any inputs will be beneficial.
