  • i 94 and new passport

    Hello friends,

my parents came to USA 3 days back. this is their 2nd visit to USA.
their visa stamp is in the old passport. they never showed their new passports to the officer this time. Their new i 94 expiry date is now associated with the old passport only. they got their visa validation done from the automatic machine at the IAD airport. the wheel chair assistant help them with all this process.
Their new passport shows no record for i 94. also no stamp on the new passport.

Is it normal? or do they need to get the correction done at IAD again? please advise

    Thanks in advance.

What's the problem? Is it that the I-94 admission period is too short because the old passport is close to expiring?

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

They did not stamp the old or the new passport this time.
Also when I put the new passport number there is no I 94 record. but the the I 94 expiry date us showing correctly when I enter the old passport number
      Is this normal?
I thought the I 94 should have been associated with the new passport,
      Thanks
