My parents lost passports which has 10 years visa on it

Hi,

MY parents got 10years visa first time and came to usa. Unfortunatly thay lost passports when they are travelling in domestick. We have applied for temporary passports here in dc and got. They went back to india. We have faxed the police report and visa copy to usconsulate in chennai.

Do they need to go for visa stamping as fresh candidate? or is there anyway to let them know that they have got issued the visa once amd trasferred to new passports easily.

I think they have to take appointment to get it stamped again. I am not sure whether they will be interviewed again or not.

Do i need to send all the sposcer documents again?

Do they get the chance to let the visa officer about lost passports.
