Parents got visa at the Chennai Consulate - 1st Attempt

Dear Friends-

I am very happy to share with you all the good news, My parents got the visa at the chennai consulate.

They had the interview on 25th April 2006 at 8.30A.M.

Just 2 questions was asked.

1. How many children do you have and my dad answered accordingly.

2. Do you have any properties and my dad showed all the property documents and thatz it.

And they checked the DS-156.

Nothing more. My parents were asked to pay the fees.

I am not sure for how long the visa was issued. Once i come to know that, I will share with you all.

I prepared the documentation exactly the same way of whatever it was mentioned in this web-site nothing more or nothing less.

This site was useful in every aspect, right from the document preparation to the questionnaire preparation.

I have a question on Property documents.

My father does not have any property on his name. But he inherited couple of sites and cultivation land from my grand father. So, In such situations, are these property documents valid? or is Affidavit itself is good enough?

Yes the property documents are very well valid but they need to be on his name so as to show in the Affidavit letter from the CA.
