Travel through air india Hyderabad(HYD) TO Chicago (ORD) ( Flight : A127)

Hi friends,

I am looking for some info on Air india direct flight ( A 127) from hyderabad to Chicago. My parents are travelling to US for the first time and i want to provide all the details to them before hand.

I have called the Airindia help desk and they said there is no need to change/get down the flight in Delhi but i would like to hear true experiences.

Below are my questions.

For departure (HYD to ORD)
1) Domestic/International terminal in Hyderabad?

2) Will the bags be taken in Hyderabad, and received in Chicago or collect again at Delhi Airport and checkin again?

3) Will both the boarding passes be be given at Hyderabad?

4) Immigration formalities in Hyderabad or Delhi ?

Basically do my parents have to get down in Delhi or not?

I would recommend going the wheel chair route. It is fast. No need to walk, and everything is taken care of by the staff.
