Family Visit - Appoinment procedure

Hello All,

I am about to take a visa appointment for my parents for tourist visa at the chennai consulate. Can you kindly tell me whether I need to take 2 separate HDFC receipts for mom and dad? Or one receipt would be sufficient as they both can attend the interview together?

In the first place please let me know whether they both can apply for the same visa appmt date and time? If so what will be the procedure to do so and what are the required fees?

I shall highly appreciate your time in giving me information on this and kindly send me the weblink of the consular/vfs website which gives information on this.( I thoroughly searched both the websites but could not find the info i needed)

yes, u need 2 receipts.

Start the application process by going to VFS (https://www.vfs-usa.co.in) and start entering details of ur dad. Fill forms Ds 156 and DS157 for Dad and then u will get option to add another applicant. Repeat same steps for mom. In almost all cases both will get same date and time.

Each applicant need to pay the application fee and each one will get separate receipts. There is no doubt abt that.

Each applicant need a seperate HDFC bar code receipt to make appointment whether sametime or not.
