B1/B2 validity after first name change
My five year old nephew (Indian citizen) currently holds a multiple entry B1/B2 visitor visa that is valid until 2007. He recently changed his first name, and he now has a new passport with a new number. He also got back the old passport with the visa, and this passport indicates that he has a new updated passport. In this situation, is his B1/B2 visa issued on the old name still considered valid for entry into the United States, or does he need to apply for a new visa based on his new name?
