My parents are going for visitor visa stamping in Chennai Next week
How personal affidavit for property can be shown.
My father doesnt have Property paper with its value mentioned,
so they are planning to go for Affidavit to show tieup for returning to India.

Is it to be taken on Stamp Paper, if so , 20 Rs Stamp Paper
or 50Rs Stamp Paper Or anything else.

Hi,
I am in the same situation and I put the same question some time back in this forum. Here are the answers I got:

1. Affidavit can be either on Stamp paper or on Plain paper as long as it is noterized.

2. If you are going for the stamp paper, the value of the stamp paper depends on the worth of the property. Normally netery people can suggest whether to use Rs20, Rs 50 or Rs 100 ( we are planning to go on Rs 100/- stamp paper as a sefe side)

Will be appreciated if any expert confirms the same.

Affidavit of property value

An affidavit can be on stamp papers from Rs 10/- to Rs.100/-.However after the abolition of stamp papers in some states , Rs.10/- is being prescribed in Andhra pradesh.And Franking the printed or typed Affidavit is being prescribed in some States.So please verify with a notary in the State you belong to or appling from.
