My parents Visa rejection

Please help me in finding the reason for my parents visitor visa rejection:

The consulate asked following questions:
Qs: How many children do you have?
Answer: 2 sons 2 daughters, one daughter is in united states.
Qs: Since how long is your daughter in United states?
Answer: since 5 years.
What does your Son-in-law do?
He is software engineer.

The consulate looked at my passport, bank statements and paystubs. After seeing he said that they are not eligible for non-immigrant visa.
Can;t i sponsor my parents for visitor visa?
Could this be because I got my green card sometime in march 2005, but my paystubs shows iam working since July 2004?
I had my EAD approved before my green card. I was employed to work on EAD basis. My husband had applied for Green card.

Please tell me what is the possible reason for rejection. Do you think my husband should have been the sponsor for them?

Think that, after looking at your bank statement and pay stubs, the CO may think you are finnacial strong to support their trip?
Can you let us know the following?

did you include your employment verification letter from your comp?
Do u have enough bank balance to support their trip?
do you have W2 and tax returns for the last 3 years?
Did you work continuously or breaks in between?
