Hi,
I just recently put in my application for a B2 visa, I have scheduled my appointment for next week (I was surprised how little information they requested, the UK visit visa process was so much more demanding). My situation is as follows:
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Nationality: Philippines
Past Visas: United Arab Emirates (Residence), UK (Visit)
Due to my husbands work I currently live in Costa Rica so I will be applying from San Jose, Costa Rica. My husband is 26 years old and British.
My questions are as follows:
1. What are the best documents to take with me?
2. Will getting the visa be difficult with me being a housewife and not employed? (My husband supports me, I can show our bank account and his employment details)?
3. We plan to travel to the US for a 10 day holiday holiday in October (LA and San Fran), then 1 week in December (NY on way back to UK). Also the visa will come in useful for when we travel back to the Philippines as then I can travel via US which means a 25 hour flight instead of a 37 hour flight via Europe. Should I mention all these reasons for wanting a visa or should I just mention the initial holiday?
Thanks
