Hello,
A little bit of background about me:
I am a 24 year old single woman, I started my PhD studies at a highly ranked university in the US early this year. However i didn't like it so I submitted a leave of absence and left the US. I had a grace period for 15 days that started on Aug 12, i left on Aug 15th. Per the conditions of the leave of absence I can resume my studies within one year if I want to but I have no intentions of doing that. I started recently a PhD in France where I already did an internship before.
I would like to apply for a tourist visa to visit my boyfriend for 2 weeks next year. He's a PhD student on an F1 visa. Do you think that my previous US travel and the fact that I'm a PhD student in France would help me prove my non-immigrant intent? I just want to visit for 2 weeks.
Thank you in advance
