Visitor Visa Approved on May 3rd 2006!!!

  • Visitor Visa Approved on May 3rd 2006!!!

    Hi Guys,

    My mom's visa approved on May 3rd 2006.Thanks for this site and supportive answers from senior memebers especially Dahlia!!!

    Her Interview was in Tamil at 8.00 Am.After entering they did security check and finger printing.Interview starts at 8.30.

    Eventhough got interpreter in Tamil.One lady who interviewd mom was american lady.But she asks all the questions in Tamil.

    Vo:why do u want to goto USA.
    Mom said for tourism purpose and visiting my daughter and son inlaw.

    Vo:what yr soninlaw doing
    Mom said he is a senior software engineer

    Vo:which co he is working??
    Mom said accordingly

    Vo:why yr husband is not accompanying u??

    Mom said he has to take care of old inlaws

    VO:What is yr daughter is doing??

    Mom said she is a homemaker

    VO: Did yr husband applied for visa too??
    Mom said no he didnt apply

    VO:show me yr property details
    Mom showed affidavit
    Vo asked for house document mom gave to her with house tax receipt.

    Vo said that yr visa approved and i am giving u 6 months visa!!

    Is it true for somebody vo said that 3 or 6 months and they got for 10 years in Passport.But i am happy atleat she is not rejected.She got 6 months.something is better than nothing.

    I prepared all the documents according to the site.Thanks a lot.And thanks for Dahlia.

    Did she get 6 months visa or 10 Years??

    Can you please tell me she collected the passport on the same day? If yes, can you tell the procedure and location of VFS office??

      Congratulations Harini!! This is reassuring after hearing about so many refusals. I am so nervous now that my mom is going for visa end of june and I am expecting a baby in july.

      Enjoy the stay with your mom!!

          The Vo told that she gave 6 months.My mom is in chennai now.she will goto her native place then she collects her passport.Then we know how long they gave.

          I am expecting baby in July 1 week.So i was also so much tensed and stressed out whether she will get or not.All the best for yr mom's approval too!!

            Yes yukta,

            I was so tensed..bcos May 1st and 2nd lot of rejections and also May 3rd my mom told lot of rejections during her interview.

              Yeah! I am hearing lot of rejections. My in-laws got visa on May 2nd. Don't know the duration of visa yet.
