  • Parents Visa Rejected (2nd attempt)

    All,

My parents VISA got rejected for the second time.

    First time conversation

    Parents went to the counter.
    1. what is the purpose of visit
    tourism and visit our son

    2. who will take care of your property
Mom: my brother and his family

    3. how many children do you have
one ( Period. End thats it)

he said your visa is rejected 214b. on January 4th 2006

    Second time: May 3rd 2006

My parents went to the counter.
    No questions
Your Visa got rejected on Jan 4th and how will your status be changed within 3 months so sorry cannot give you VISA.
My parents tried to give all reasons but in Vain.

This seriously sucks there are so many freaking illegal immigrants living in USA and they care a damn about them when we come with proper documents they don't even see the freaking documents and they reject it.

Second time I agree but first time he didn't even ask any other questions to my parents neither did he see the documents, which means parents with one child cannot come to USA. what the heck is this? above all my dad doesn't know to speak English how in this world can he be a potential immigrant.

I have decided to send my parents for VISA sometime next year.

    Hello all:

My Parents Visa got rejected y'day as well. The VO had asked my parents:

[1] How many children do you have?

    they said 2

    [2] Where are they?

    Both are in the US.

End of story. Rejected under section 214(b). This is atrocious and I'm getting frustrated with all of this. We had so much hope, but sounds like you should never say the truth.

My parents got the visa in 3rd attempt and I think the strong point this time was my brother is in India. Last time my dad mentioned his salary per month( maybe VO think it was yearly and he rejected it). This time he mentioned per year and said I have to come back and arrange my second son's marriage.

Though the VO do not ask for documents, I trained my dad to show the docs while answering a question as a supporting doc for the answer and it worked. The VO took the doc from him while he was answering him. Looks like the VO was very considerate and understanding as per my parents. He even said that I am not sure why the previous VO rejected the visa based on the docs you are showing.

one more thing is that the gap between 2 interviews should be more than 6 months. Last interview was Aug 2005 and this time it was May 2006

Do they ask for any proof if you mention one of the sons is indeed in India?
