  • Sponsoring a person have Two names

    Hi,

I am planning to sponsor tourist Visa for my In-laws.
The problem is my father– in-law’s name is different in all my wife’s documents (Maneeswara Rao) such as Educational Certificates and in the Passport than his name in his other IDs including his passport (Manibushana Rao).

Even though, while he was Appling for the passport (Indian) he provided an affidavit of having two names (Alias), his passport is issued with one name (Manibushana Rao).

Would there a placeholder for the alias name in the VISA application/form?
Do I need to mention both his names everywhere during sponsoring the VISA?
What are the additional documents/proof’s he might have to carry for the interview?

    Thanks,
    Ram

He can use the name as per his passport for visa application.
As per my understanding you don't need to mention both names during visa process.
But at the time of interview he can bring affidavit for one and the same person. Sample affidavit link below,
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.
