  • My mom visa rejected please help for better answers......

I applied visa for my mother and got rejected on may 2nd in chennai consulate.
Officer asked these questions and my mom answered like this:
1.How many children do you have?
A:Two children daughter in usa and son is doing Mtech.
2.Is your son will go to USA on H1?
    A:She said NO.
3.When is your husband passed away?
    A:15 years.
4.How long is your daughter is staying in USA?
    A:3 years.
5.Why are you going to USA?
A.When is explaining this question translator took off.She couldn't able to explain this properly.

My mom is working in government company and she has 20 lakhs of property worth affidavit. She had all documents well prepared and i sent all documents according to immihelp.Officer didn't even look at the documents.
I am thinking to re-apply agin in june ending 2006?
Please suggest me is it good to apply now or do i need to wait for 6 months?

If she go again is officer is going to ask same question?

Please suggest better answers for above questions.
When she goes to interview next time if officer ask question or not is she can explain or prove that she has job and unmarried son and he is not intrested to go USA(in terms of words because last time officer didn't even look at the document).

Last time i requested 6 months of stay. Now i am thinking for 3 months.

Please anybody help me.I really appreciate your help.

    Thanks...

Yeah this time just mention 2 or 3 months. There is only 3 days mandatory period that she needs to wait before re applying. Even my mom's visa got rejected in FEB and she re-applied in April and got visa. So it all depends on CO. I am sure she will get this time. Good luck in getting appointment

      Follow up question for Yukta

      Hi,

Vinsula, I am sorry that your mother's visa was rejected. My parents appear for a visa interview on June 22nd. I am littled tensed up about it. I wish you the best. Everybody in this forum have been very understanding and helpful. I am sure some one would provide you with the right information.

I was looking up the answer Yukta provided for your query. I am little curious as to how she was able to manage interview date for her mother within 2 months. I looked up for an interview date for my parents on Feb 10 and the earliest date I could manage was June 22nd, which I took. My initial plan was to bring my parents in April so they could beat the heat back home and enjoy the Spring weather here. Could you please let me know if there was something else I could have done to get an earlier appointment date.

      Thanks in advance,
      Pratap

        hi vinsula,

I agree with Yukta , dont lose heart , try again. My father had first appt in march when he got rejected and we reapplied again May. This time he got it. It all depends on the officer. And as Yukta suggests ask for less time. thats what we did too.

          Hi Pratap,
I did manage to get her appointment by hitting VFS site (appointment availability screen) 1000 times a day (but it was such a pain to do that). We need to keep looking. Sometimes we get early availability depending on the cancellations. Good Luck.

Thanks Yukta for the information. I wish I had known it earlier. I shall bear that in mind.

                Hey Vinsula:

Sorry to hear that. Guess there is nothing much other than believing in god and hope next time a psycho VO would not interview our parents.

                Yukta:

Looks like vfs website got you worked up a lot, glad it worked out finally. Shall try my luck.

                  Pratap,

                  Same thing happened to me.
I saw the same date, Jun’22 as first available date when I was trying to book appointment for my in-laws on Feb 22.

I went and grabbed the date expecting that I would get an earlier date… tried continuously for 2-3 weeks, but could find any earlier date then gave up as I want them here by Jul mid.

                  Thx
                  Rk

My parents Visa got rejected .when and how can i reapply?

                      Hi ,
My parents visa got rejected. They were not much questions nor the officer did not look at the documents.
I am thinking of re applying. my question is when should i reapply? and how?

Do i need to book appointment in VFS site again? or my parents can go to interview again after 3 three business days?

I am not sure about the procedure.

Please guide me what should i do to reapply?

                      Thanks

                        Sorry to hear that…
Yes you need to follow the same procedure as you did earlier… like
Take new appointment by paying fee at HDFC bank,
                        Take new appointment
Sending documents from your side if they are one month old

You can make use of DD that is no used (visa issuance fee 2300/-)

There is no definite rule to wait before reapplying but if you see significant change since last rejection then you can apply now otherwise generally they will wait for ~6 months.

But try to find out what made the visa rejection and try to fill the gaps
                        All the best

                            Preponement Fraud going on

I heard that there are some brokers who charge Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 to get appointments preponed. What they do is ask you to cancel your existing appointment and save a new DS-156. When the database is down for nightly maintenance, the saved DS-156 (of those who paid money) are moved into the empty slots created by genuine cancellations. Obviously these brokers have contact with the techies who do the database maintenance. Thats is how some people are getting appointments preponed.
