  • tell the truth?

I trying to find an appointment for my mom-in-law.
Both in laws visited once before.
Father in law passed away 3 months ago

    Question:
Is it a good idea to mention that she is a widow (in form DS-156 ) and bear the added risk of rejection or tell the truth and see how it goes?

    Thanks.

I would say “tell the truth”.

I would think there may not be any risk, as they visited earlier, (assume… they returned in the given time limits)

    Just my personal opinion
    Thx
    RK

      Dont Say truth

My mother in law got rejected twice for telling the truth that she is a widow.
      So. dont tell truth!

I think 'not telling truth' may result into further consequent questions on her husband's status like working / retired, why he is not accompanying etc. etc. These may confuse/ tense her. I do agree that some facts may affect adversly on your case but there is no point in hiding the truth or telling false information. truth may affect once but false info. may affect forever and you will weaken your case forever.

        Just my view.

        Thanks.
