Typos on DS 156 Help?

Hi ~

In spite of being careful I seemed to have mis-typed my mother's name in item 34 on my father's DS 156 where it prompts for the Names of Persons traveling with you on DS 156. I tried making necessary changes online on this form but, it would not let me submit the changes as it prompts me to select State on item 2 which is in fact de-selected.
Could I make appropriate changes on the printed DS 156 that my parents would carry to the consulate or should need to do anything else?

Please help.

Take two printouts, first one original (with typo) and second one changes highlighted. Prepare your mother to answer well, if asked for reason for change

Thanks RK for the information. I suppose it is ok to hand write the changes on the printed document and later explain to them.
