Vistor Visa start date. Please help

Hi,
My parents have an interview at US consulate Chennai this month(May). But they would like to come here only in November. Is it possible to get Visa starting from November for 6 months if they attend the interview this month?.

Some told me that the Visa issue date would be the same as the Visa start date. Don't know if it is true.

Once your parents get the Visa,they can come into US anythime before the expiry date of Visa.

How long your parents can stay in US depends on I-94 which is given at the port of entry.

Visa start date ( issued date) has nothing to do with your parents length of stay .

Thank you. But if my parents get Visa for 6 months starting from May, the visa would expire by November. We are planning to bring them in November and would like them to be here at least till Jan/Feb. Would the end date in I-94 depend on the visa expiry date?.

Typically not. As you know stay in US depend on I-94 validity and dates on I-94 are determined @ POE
