Passport delivery time

I had gone for the visa counselling on friday afternoon, i.e. 5th may, 2006 and my visa was approved. Can anybody please tell me how long will it take for the passport to be delivered at my place?

Normally between 3-5 days

In chennai, my in-laws, went directly to VFS centre and collected the passport personnaly the next day (~4pm) instead of waiting 3-5 days (depends where you stay i suppose)

If not collected from vfs office, will be couriered to the delivery address you provided in 2-5 days.

Hi Kose,

The letter from the consulate with instructions says that the passport could be collected on the same day between 3-5pm and if not collected it will be couried the same day. But you mention that ur in-laws collected it the next day - could you please clarify ? was this recently inthe last couple of weeks ?
