We are trying to show that my father works as a admin in charge. He actually is a retired govt employee receiving pension and is also working as admin but not for any salary. In addition to the employment letter for the admin job, do we need to worry about any tax related documents? Would the consulate ask about it?

I exactly have the same doubt. My father too is a retd govt employee. But in order to improve the chance of getting visa, would it be better if he shows he is working in a private firm or working part time ? In that case would he be asked for salary details or to show the earnings in tax returns ? Or is it atleast okay to show that he is working voluntarily ? will it help in anyway ? I read somewhere that if they ask for 1 month or 6 weeks visa, it is easily granted. Pls throw some light on these issues.
It's very bad what all we have to go thru to get our parents here just for 6 months.
