  • No AOS / No EOS stamp on passport

    Hi All,

I am posting this thread for some immigration advice for my mother. My mother has been visiting me and my sister on a Tourist (B2 visa) since 2004. Every time she has been granted a 6 month stay and has never exceeded her stay period.

However, when she entered the States on Thursday, Feb 16th 2017, she was granted a one month stay until March 16th, 2017 only. Also, her passport was marked with No EOS , No AOS remarks.

My mother went back to India before her one month stay expired. We are now looking to bring her back to the States in the first week of February 2018. I wanted to check if this is sufficient (approx 11 months) time between her last visit. As much as we would like her to be with us, we don't want to be in a situation where her passport is marked with no EOS/No AOS again.

Also any reviews /experience on the port of entry in Abi Dhabi. Would it be better given the current situation?

Your advice on this will be much appreciated

Thanks so much for your guidance on this!

    Regards,
    -SS

This is part of the new guidelines. They are getting tough at the border . I felt it coming through I have B2 from germany and travelled more then 6 times on that visa no questions asked . Since trump is in office they questioned me so hard last two times I thought they were going to send me to secondary.
Now did AOS so it doesent matter anymore but they think your mom will stay and file for AOS so be sure she has rock solid documents and plane ride back before hand.

Also it really doesent matter . Her passport and computer were marked with those annotations so they will likely scrutinize her and maybe give her limited B2 again . No one can say I dont want to scare you but its better to be prepared for the worst

Thank you mustang85635. We certainly plan on having all the documents: round trip ticket, insurance, etc. ready. What kind of limited stay you think we should expect? Getting a little worried now...
