Emergency Visitor Visa

My Son is in the hospital. My parenst would like to come here to visit him. Is there any way they can go to Delhi consulate for Emergency Visa. Will this situation fall under emergency condition as far as applying for a visotor visa goes. They are supposed to apply in Chennai but the wait period is ver long. Please advice what I can do in this situation.

If the nature of illness is severe ( proof required) they can try.
