Hello everyone,
My name is Blair. I am an American Citizen and I am currently trying to figure out the process for sponsoring a friend from Brazil to visit the USA for a maximum of three weeks. I am currently employed as a designer at an Architecture Firm making 41,000 a year. My friend would be staying at my house. I would pay for everything including his round trip tickets and any other travel he would do in the US. I would like to know how plausible this is and how much money I would need to have saved to prove that he would have no issues coming here on my dime. His English is good as he wants to become an English teacher in Brazil but, he comes from a poor family and would not be able to make the trip on his own. He is however currently in university in Brazil so he has proof he would have to go back to Brazil.
Again, I just wanted to know if this is plausible and if a letter from me to the consulate would do any good.
Anything helps. Please let me know if any additional info is needed.
Thanks.
