I applied last year for a B1 visa. First time around got denied under section 214(b) A few days later applied again and provided tons of documentation. Approved and went to USA for Training 2weeks. Visa as valid for 3 months and office at border extended for another 6 months. Expired.
I have a new job now working for a new company. I applied for B2 visa, I had to send my documents to the consulate , got it back and was instructed in a letter for refusal under section 221(g). I went for the interview few days ago.... as instructed on the letter , did not have to pay anything extra.

Officer> Do you have any friends or family?
Me>NO sir.
Officer> Reason why you went there last year.
Me> I worked for company A based in SA. Company B (USA based) was going to merge but when we got there they told us they going to buy us out and we all retrenched.
Officer > Ok your visa Approved and enjoy your stay.
Just be cool and confident. Have your documentation handy, just in case. Good Luck to yar all.
