Us visa help!!

Hii.

I will be applying for US visa from india. prime reason to visit US is to volunteer at a festival. not sure which visa type should i apply for? Also, was wandering how difficult it is to get a visa for a solo traveler in the current political climate? I have a good recent travel history. additionally, any word for advice?
