My parents applied for B2 Visa Interview consulate on 22 Jan 2017. The VO asked a few questions to both my parents. No documents were asked. At the end of the interview, the VO just smiled and kept their passports. Did not hand over any documents or forms.
The primary applicant on the family B2 application is my father while my mother was the secondary applicant.
Yesterday my mother received an email saying the passport is ready for pickup but for my father, it still says "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate"
I checked DS160 Application number for both of them @ https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx and I see the status as "Administrative Processing" for my father but for my mother, it says "Issued"
I wanted to understand what is going on. Is this normal to see the status as "Administrative Processing" for one member of the family while the other's visa is issued and passport is ready for pickup? Shouldnt it be Issued for both of them since it they applied together?
