Thank you all, for sharing your experiences.
Today morning my parents had appt(for Telugu)@ chennai consulate and they got visa.
My father is farmer and mother is house wife. My father never had bank balance, he didn't take any bank statements with him. He just had property documents with him and letter from Charted accountant about the value of the properties. But Visa officer didn't ask any of them.
Qns that were asked to my father.
1) How much property do you have
A)40 acres
2) How much income you get a year
A)5 Lakhs (which is not true, but I guess my father wanted to tell him that he is earning lot)
3)How many children you have
A)One daughter and unmarried son in India
4)How many months you are planning to visit
A) 5 months
Officer looked at my documents and they were told visa is granted, and there are no questions to my mom.
Interview was done by an American gentlement and Telugu lady for translation.
I believe, "How many children you have" qn is more important to many(may not be to every officer) officers, and some luck from our part.
Hope this information helps
