L2 EAD category a18

Hi All,

I have applied for EAD in Dec'17 (category a18, Vermont, exact date recd: 28th) and would like to understand:

1. After how many days, shall I raise my 1st service request?

2. My status still reads as received. Is there no status change like "your case has been assigned to an officer etc"?

As per the USCIS website, VSC is currently processing cases as of 18 September 2017 <https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do>

1. You can submit an inquiry about your Form I-765 if your case has been pending more than 75 days. (source: USCIS website)

2. Reading through many experiences on this website, it looks like the online status doesn't get updated on real time basis. Have read many post of EADs approved and received while the online status still shows as case received. So, good luck with yours too.
