  • marriage under a b2 visa

Hello. So my fiance already has a B-2 tourist visa and has visited me multiple times already in the US. Would it be ok if we got married while she is visiting me with the intention of going back to her country. She is not planning to immigrate here immediately, but will do so sometime later within the year (hopefully). I'm not sure if this would be a misuse of the "tourist" visa and if it would be used against us when she does apply for permanent immigration. Thanks.

That's perfectly fine. It is appropriate to use the tourist visa as long as she is not immigrating during this stay.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Yes! It would be fine! Unless she stayed in the US and applied for both I-130 and I-485. She would be fine! It is better to apply after two to three months of her current entrance of the U.S because there is a 30/60/90 rules. This is just my advise. Hopefully it is helpful for your case.
