  • Information for Visitors Visa

    Hi,

My parents-in-law applied for visitors visa in january 2006 and it got rejected. We have taken the appointment once again for june 19th in chennai.
They where rejected under 214b. My father-in-law works for ISRO & have got 5 more yrs of service and my mother-in-law is house wife.

We dont see any reason for my parents-in-laws visa getting rejected for first time as we had all the documents prefect.
Currenty my husband is processing Green Card and he is in I-140 Stage. My husbands brother is also working in US and he is in H1B.

Can anyone suggest me , how will be the chances for second time attending the interview ?? What additional documents my parents-in-laws should carry when they go for there Interview ??
Do u think since both the sons are in US ,that is the problem for getting the visa rejected for first time or is it because my father-in-law is working in ISRO ??

In the first time interview , they where not asked any questions except for very few formal question like there names, how many kids ...

We are so confused upon how to guide my parents-in-law for there second attempt. What kind of questions can they expect ?? and what are the documents they need to carry in addition for the visa been rejected previously ??

We are so depressed and dono how to prepare them for there second interview. It will be really helpfull if someone can help us giving some kind of information in this.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Kumari

My mother in law had same experience

            Hi

My mil had the same experience last year. Rejected under 214b for no reason. We applied again with no additional documents, and she got her visa issued by the same lady who rejected her the first time !

This is the Chennai consulate. I also did contact a senator, but not sure if that really made a difference
