Bank statment from Bank of America.

Hi all,

I have my check in and savings a/c with Bank of america. I am trying to get bank statement but still did not receive it.

First time when i went to BOA they had given me one toll free no. and they also told that such statement cannot be issued from branch. I talked to customer care person on that toll free no. and he has created request for statment. After 10 days i receive a letter saying they can not issue such letter and i have to go to bank branch. When i took that letter to branch they have filled one form 'Request for Verification of Account' and faxed to some no. They told me i wll receive letter within 7/10 working days. Still i did not receive any letter and when i contacted bank again they told me that they filled wrong form and now they are sending another request and i have to wait for another 7/10 days.

Did anybody receive such letter from BOA? Any idea which form we should exactly ask for? Is it really thru toll free no. only or can we get from branch or main branch?? Is there any way to track this? I asked them and they told they can not track this request. Very few days are left out for my in-law's interview call (16th June) and i am bit worried about this.

Pl. advice / share your experience.

Hello, I have a BOA account too. I was told that they have stopped issuing all A/C verification and balance statements from the branch. I talked to the Branch Manager and he helped me out. There is a special form that you can fill up and request a statement. They will prepare the statement and send it from their Head office. You have to specify what accounts you need to include and for how many months (6/12) etc. It will be mailed directly to you. In my case it took about 7/10 days. You can try to have them overnite it out to you, however, in my case they declined. So I settled for the usual delivery. Go to your local branch and ask them to get the authorization form. One more question. Do you have any idea what that form is called? For me, one of the lady at BOA (so called manager) filled one form and faxed to their head office. But after waiting for 7/10 days when i enquired again they told me that the form filled was for verification of account for mortgage purpose!!
They themsalves don't know which form exactly they need to fill for this purpose!.

If you know what that form is called pl. let me know.

I received doc from BoFA

Hi,
I too have Checking account at BoFA.
I, initially went to Branch manager, he sent one request and told me that I would be getting letter in 3 days. But even after a week I didnt get any such letter. Then he suggested to call BoFA Toll Free number, which I did and I told them that I need account verification letter showing various details like account balance, avg balance, acct opened etc.....
You can also tell them that you need this doc for applying VISA, they will know it faster......as promised by them i got the letter within a week.
They charge $10 for original and free for any additional copies.

Hi, I did that first of all. they told me same thing on toll free no. that i will get letter within 7 days and $10 will be charged to my account for the same. but after 10 days i received one letter which was saying i have to talk to branch for sending them request in prescribed form then only they will send that doc. to branch and i have to collect it from branch!. branch ppl are saying something else. Not getting what exactly procedure is and is it standard process or varies from branch to branch.

Bank Statement

Hi there

First I went to the branch and filled up a form and waited 10days and nothing came. Called them up and no one knows what im asking. Frustarted, i went to another bank and they helped me out. It took abt 7-10 business days and USD10 for the statements. Until now, its been 10days and nothing came again. Im utterly disappointed with their inefficent customer service. They dont live up to their name at all. Make sure u get the name of the staff or get a copy of the form.

I requested from BOA through toll free number.You have to tell them that you need last 3 to 5 months of average balance in your account.Ask them they you need in bankof america letter head.(Explain them you applying visa for your parents.They know that it's for immigration)
They will ask you SSC number,address,branch city.
I did last week friday.They said it take 5 working days.
I am also waiting for that.My parents has appointment on june 13th.

Hello all, I have no idea what the form is called. I did tell them that it is for immigration purpose. So they understood. I also said that it needs to be in BOA letterhead. Speak to the branch manager and request them to call on your behalf. That might help. I was charged $10 for the letter.

Can you pl. let me know how much time it took for you to recieve the letter. I contacted bank manager only for 3 times and he only did all the formalities. Still it did not work. I clearly told her that i need it for visa purpose and all other detail. I also specified what all information is required in the letter. They applied for it on my behalf on last friday. I am waiting for the same as they told that i will get it within 7/10 days.

Did you receive letter from BOA? It is more thank week for me. I did not receive letter but i found that my account is showing $50 deducted from my account with particulars 'Reference letter'. The amount was deducted on last thursday but still did not receive any letter.

Would really appreciate if you can let me know your status.

BOA takes a minimum of 9 days.

I see that there is no consistency with BOA. They charge different amounts from different people. They charged me only $10.

I got the letter today but subject line says 'Immigration' whereas visitor visa is non immigrant visa. Did you also receive letter with such heading? Can it create any problem?

That should be fine. Banks have standard letters for these..
