Hi everyone,
I had my appointment today(07/03/2018). I have applied as a family visitor along with my husband and three children.
I was called at the counter 1 where the gentleman took our fingerprints and held our passports with him saying we will be called later. I tried to show him my driving license but he refused to see that so I thought somebody will ask for evidence at the interview counter.
I was called for interview along with family. The consular officer called us like he is pointing for some waiter. No smile or friendly gesture. I found him extremely serious and having a very discouraging attitude. He asked a couple of questions which I answered correct. I was thinking he would ask for evidences / supporting docs. But he didn't ask anything. Though I had my full file ready with me. He took a long time on computer and then said he is refusing our application. I was literally shocked as I was expecting him to ask for evidences but he refused us and apparently the refusal letter says that we couldn't provide professional, work, school, family or social links to a foreign country. I had been through this website a number of times but never heard such a case where a whole family is applying as a genuine visitor and 5 people were refused at once without seeing any docs. I wouldn't be that much upset if he makes an objection on my papers/docs. At least in that case I would have been assured that he's gone through them. buts so disappointing that he didn't ask for anything and refused us straight away.
