need advice

i have 2 querries;

1.we have already filled the form for my parents online and wriiten duration of stay as 6mths so, that cannot be changed, now in invitation letter can i write 4 mths as my father will get a leave of maximum 4 mths.

2.now if they ask in interview can he say 4 mths because i have got leave only for that duration will they create problem saying why u wrote 6 mths in form.

i asked this earlier also and i got reply write 4 mths in both form and invittion but form cannot be changed now.

If they mention that ask your parents to suggest that they thought they could come for 6 months at the time of filling the form. But later realized they cnnot do it more than 4 months so they would like to come for 4 months. You could always have a change in plan especially if they make you fill the form 6 months before the time of trip or interview....

Per my knowledge,
If form applied online, you can change (not all fields thought upto 5 days before (for mumbai consulate and 2 days before for all other consulates) interview.
Can you let us know details, what is happening when you are trying to edit? or why you cannot edit?
