  • wheelchair asistance?

    Hi all!
My mom is travelling to USA in early june. She has tickets for the direct flight to chicago and then a connecting flight from chicago to Arkansas.Since she is alone and travelling for the first time and also aged I have requested for wheelchair assistance throughtout.(though she does not have any problems)Now my question is-
Does wheelchair create any kind of negative impression on the immigration officers at the POE?meaning to say that if she goes to the immigration officer sitting on the wheelchair are their any chances that he might give only 3 or 1 month and not stamp 6 months? this might sound a silly question but I was just concerned?
    Thanks.

We booked wheel chair for my mother-in-law and she got 6 month visa at port of entry. I guess it shouldn't matter.

You can talk to your travel agent and he/she will be able to help you with this. The travel agent (or whoever does the booking for you) need to put in a "Special Request" for "Wheel Chair" so that when the ticket is issued, it has those remarks. You can reiterate it at the time of checkin at airlines counter and they will take care of it.

At the time of reserving the tickets you can request for wheel chair assitance.
