Lost HDFC bank receipt

Hi,
Can you please advice on this.

We have lost the HDFC bank receipts after fixing the date for Personnel appearnce. We had spoken to US Visa Consulate helpdesk and they adviced us to pay the Visa Fee and get the new bar codes. And they assured us that we can attend the P.A on the same date by showing the old and new bar codes.

Please advice if any one faced this problem and what precautions needs to be taken.

Can you please update your experience in this case? We have the interview in next week and have same situation. Any information on this will be really helpful.
