Change in DS160 & Reuse of Visa Payment Fee Receipt Number

  • Change in DS160 & Reuse of Visa Payment Fee Receipt Number

    I have already submitted a DS160 Form for my parents, made the visa fee payment & booked an appointment for June 4 & 5.
    Currently my parents are on a holiday in Europe which they started on April 25.
    i have not mentioned these travel details in the DS160 which I submitted in March.

    My questions

    1> Is it mandatory for me to capture these details by filling out a new DS160?
    What if I proceed without a new submission and mention about the travel to the Visa Officer and justify that the travel happened after the submission?

    2> Can I cancell the existing appointment and use the receipt number with the new DS160?
