  • B2 rejected after 3 straight questions. Can we reapply?

    Hi

My cousin had a B2-visa interview yesterday. The conversation between him and the VO goes as follows:

    Me- Good morning.
    I- Observes Passport.
Why do you wanna visit US?
Me- I want to meet my elder brother. He studies in University of Illinois Chicago.
    I- What do you do?
Me- I am pursuing my bachelors from Khalsa College, Delhi university, I will complete 2 years of my 3 year graduation in may.
I-Have you ever travelled outside India before?
    Me- No.

what went wrong? They didnt even ask for documents? Can we reapply?

Thanks in advance. All the help is appreciated

what went wrong? your brother couldn't provide proof of strong ties to his home country

They didn't even ask for documents? the VO is not required to ask for documents or look at them. Visas are granted at will based on the VO's choice

Can we reapply? You can always reapply but if your brother can't show that he's not an immigration risk the outcome will more than likely be the same. but you are always able to reapply.
This is strictly an opinion and should not be misconstrued as legal advice. The use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

So when he says I am pursuing my Bachelors at Delhi University, he should simultaneously show the documents of the university? Or he should add more to the answer he is giving.

Or when he says he is going to visit his brother, he should mention something extra?
