  • Applying for B2 visa DS 160 - SSN and travel info while on L1 10 years back

    Hi,

We would like to go to the US this year on tourist visa. I was filling in my previous trips to the US and I am a little confused on how to fill it. I was in the US from Feb 2008 to July 2009 on an L1 visa. During this period, I was working in the US and traveled to my home country India 3 times. I see it as visiting India while living in the US at the time.

So my question is: Should I mention each of these trips back to US from India as individual visitsto US? Or can I just record it as a single visit/period from Feb 2008 to July 2009 under "Previous U.S. Travel Information"?

Do I also need to provide the SSN I had 10 years back? I do not remember my SSN and am not sure if I have the old Social Security card. Is it mandatory to provide the SSN if one had it long back?

I would be grateful for any advice I can get on this and thank you in advance.

    Uma

    1. Mention each trip.
    2. Yes. Social security number is the same for lifetime. You should search for any document that has it.
