1. Background:
(1) I am Chinese, and I changed my visa status successfully from J1 to B2, it got approval at January 12.
(2) BUT!!! It only valid for ONE DAY!!
2. Ask for help:
(1) I sent out an extend application immediately when I received the approval form, but the valid day only have ONE DAY.
So the USCIS basically received my application after my I94 expired.
(2) I am accepted by a graduate school and I am leaving back to China at June for interviewing a student visa. The situation on my B2 visa extension must effect my interview, what else should I specifically need to prepare? Because really for the ONE day valid I don't have enough time to send out an application before my I94 expires so it is out of my control and base on my tour trip in USA that I stay another 4 months after I sent out my extension application, are these 4 months all count as overstay? Will I be barred when I come back as a student? I am afraid that I can not come back anymore, so I need to get myself ready.
3. Thanks a lot for helping me, if there any online lawyer service I can use, I would love to pay for it. And of course I will leave in 3 weeks, just want to know am I leaving forever? Sad!!!
