  • Increase chance of getting B2 visa for brother

    Hello everyone,

I have read many threads about siblings getting rejected for B2 visa. My parents and my brother will be applying next year for my graduation and my wedding (I got married to a USC and got my green card in December 2017). My brother will be 17 next year and he has travelled to a few neighboring countries in the past (on tourist visa also). My question is what can we provide in the application to increase his chances of getting visa? I'm thinking that my brother can visit some other countries to prove that he has a good travelling record. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

It is better to consult a experienced agent regarding your brother visa issues, he can better guide you what next step is beneficial for your brother

Thank you. I actually planned to do that soon, just wondering whether anyone that has been in a similar situation can give me some suggestions.

There's really nothing you can or cannot do to assist his chances, generally the VO will want him to prove strong ties to his home country and ability to provide for himself financially while in the US unless he has a sponsor. other than that the decision by the VO is the final say and they can deny at will. I wish you the best, and hope it works out well. Also the previous travel could definitely help.

Travelling to various other countries doesn't really helps. Rather strong ties to your home country will help.

Since your brother is still under 18 yrs of age & no ties to home country (parents also visiting India) - he is a potential immigrant.
