Typographic errors in the deposit slip - advice needed!

Hi,

I told my parents to pay the deposit (4600 INR) fee at the HDFC bank and then fax me the receipt so that I can book the appointment from here, Yesterday I received the fax and found two typographical errors in the visa fee deposit slip,

Error 1. Last name - Instead of Ramanathan his name was written like Ramathan (na is missing)

Error 2. Date of birth - instead of 03 it was written 13.

My queries:

1. Is it a serious problem?

2. Shall I go ahead and book the appointment by using this recept number?

3. What are the possible problems and possible solutions in this case?

Any helpful advice will highly be appreciated

Contact or goto the bank where they got the receipts and ask if they can correct it or not. Also send an email to VFS about the same.

Thanks Raj, shall I cancell this reciept and pay another 4600RS to get a new receipt with correct spellings?

why spending money again if there is any other solution? Ask them first..

You need to corret those key info in the application. contact your HDFC bank.
