I noticed only after completing the DS-160 and paying the MRV fee that I had incorrectly chosen B1/B2 as the visa class for my 80+ year old dad, who otherwise qualifies for interview waiver by virtue of his age.

Should I try to retrieve the old application and then choose the option to create a new DS-160 and make the correction? And then take both the DS-160 forms to the dropbox office? I would hate to forego the hefty visa fee of INR 11,200 I just paid.

It would be great if someone from these forums could advise.

Call the local consulate & have the fee associated with the new DS160 form.
