My mother is appearing for visitor visa interview third time. she was previously rejected in feb 2005 and again in june 2005. i am here on H1. i went back to india after my deputation in august and came back to US in jan 2006. I have applied for my mothers visa and this time she is going for the interview again in june 2006.
when i sent an enquiry to chennai consulate i was told that she was rejected last two times because she didnt have enough financial reasons. in addition she didnt convince the officer that she is coming here for tourism purposes.
i have send a covering letter to officer indicating the ties my mother has to the home country. i have also prepared a letter from our financial auditor on the assets that my mother has in india.
what is the best way to proceed here. Should my mother give the covering letter as soon as she sees the officer or should she wait for the officer to ask questions to her. my mother is bit reserved and does not talk out of the box. do you think she can insetad give the letter to the officer so that it gives a background to the officer about my mothers situation. pls advice
