  • Immigration stamp incomprehensible

My father's immigration stamp (image attached) on passport is incomprehensible. The immigration officer seems to have said to my father that my father needs to go back in a month.
My father is not sure what exactly the officer said. The officer did not mention any specific date. However https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/ says "Admit Until Date : 12/13/2018" Any help in getting clarity on this is appreciated.

Well the typed letters say B2 VIOPP (Visa in other Passport). So is this passport new? They often write this if the original visa was stamped into an old passport, but then they arrived using their new passport which didn't have the stamp, but the visa hadn't expired so you're allowed to enter.

Your father can stay until the admit until date you specified from the digital I-94.

Indeed the visa is on the older passport. VIOPP = "Visa in other Passport" makes sense. Thank you for this explanation. Now the only confusion is on the officer's verbal remark that my father has just 1 month time in US, but the digital I-94 says 6 months. Is there any way to call an official number to get this clarified?

Verbal remarks have no standing. All that matters is the date on I94. If it says December 2018, then that is the date until which your father can remain in the US.
Just an opinion; Not legal advice.
