B2 visa invitation letter

I have been accepted to participate in a conference in the US , and they will be covering all the costs (transportation-lodging...), but I received the invitation letter by email only.
So do us visa offices accepet faxed or emailed invitation letter? or I will absolutely need it mailed to me!!

Mailed one is better, but emailed one should be OK.
