  • usa visit visa rejected need advice on new application

    hello
I applied a b2 visa in apri l2018 and was refused on of not having strong reasons that i will come back to the UK. I will try to give as much info about my self I can and then if you guys can give you input and any suggestions for a new application. I am 39 years old Pakistani on a 10 year partner rout visa in UK, earning 2k pounds a month, i have a british partner with 3 british kids. we live together. i have 2 driving convictions in UK and a fight with my partner which went to court 4 years ago and then settled. i have been in UK for 12 years now, came as a student and then met my partner and switched my visa. I applied to visit my uncle in usa along with my partner but was refused. i was asked few questions about my self, my partner, my job and the family I was going to visit in USA, I stated that my trip will be of 10 days, i had my job and my bank statement documents on me.
I would like to apply for the visa again around xmas time, I would like to know what can i do to convince the IO,
I hope this info is enough for you guys to advice me but if any other thing you need to know please let me know.
    kind regards

They put you under a lot of scrutiny when trying to get a visitor visa to come here. They take into account your history, not just whether you have significant ties to the country of residence. They may see that you went to the UK as a student and then switched your visa as a negative sign. I am sure you did it all completely legal with no ill intentions but things like that are scrutinized highly by the government in these cases. Especially in my view as you've obviously had some issues with your partner in the past, you may be looking for a route into another country to start a life there instead, and not to mention your driving convictions - can you expand on that a little, were they purely traffic violations or are they full blow convictions, i.e. driving under the influence? As they also have a negative factor due to the public safety aspect.

I am not saying that this is the case, I am throwing out ideas that may have turned them to denying your application. I am sure others will also be able to provide some input.

Was your job evidence a letter from your employer? You could get one from a manager stating the amount of leave you've been given and that you're coming back to work by a specific date. You could also take your bank statement again, accompanied by 6 months worth of pay stubs. If you own or rent your house, take the lease/mortgage/tenancy document to show that you have a property in the UK that you're coming back to. If you own/rent/lease a car, take documents to prove this as well. What will happen with your kids when you visit here, are they going with you? If they are and they're in school, get some proof from the school of when you're going to be returning. If your kids are staying behind with a nanny or something similar, that should show you'd be coming back.

Anything you can think of that proves you have a 100% intention on coming back will help, the more the better. Good luck with it.
