DS156 Visitor visa question/error

I filled out DS156 online. I after a while realized that I made a mistake on the last name. I went back to modify saved application option but the key fields like passport#, last name, first name have been disabled.

How do I proceed to rectify this? My folks have their interview in a week or so. Would you please help?

print out a blank DS156 form, fill all correct details manually and take it for interview along with the old one. Let the officer know of the changes.
